New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has already compiled Hall of Fame-worthy stats during his nice NFL career, but he added one more nice accomplishment Sunday when he hauled in a nice, 53-yard pass from Tom Brady against the New Orleans Saints.
The catch was Gronkowski’s 69th receiving touchdown of his career.
Henry played five NFL seasons after being drafted in 2005. In 55 games, Henry recorded 119 receptions for 1,826 yards and 21 touchdowns.
“It’s a very difficult thing with his loss and a young life and one that won’t ever get to reach its full potential,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said after Henry’s death.
Henry had a number of arrests and suspensions throughout his NFL career, but as the tragedy happened, many around him felt he was turning the corner.
“Everyone makes mistakes, but I don’t see how Chris was supposed to go already, especially when he was on the right path,” Chad Johnson said back in 2009. “Other than that, he’s going to be missed.”
Texans 13, Bengals 9 A long, methodical Texans drive led to another field goal, which just might be enough to ice the game.
The Texans simply refuse to put away the game, doing nothing on offense. Fortunately for them, the Bengals also can’t move the ball, so neither team is getting close to scoring position.
Since Watt started it on Aug. 27, and as it kept reaching goals of $500,000, $1 million, $2 million, and more, it got to a point where Watt decided he would leave the donations open until Friday at 5 p.m.
Prior to the Texans’ season opener at home against the Jaguars, Watt announced that it had reached the $30 million mark. By Friday, it had surpassed $37 million.
